How to steadily register scans using manual registration by point pairs?

Manual pairwise registration has an automatic refinement mode that applies the user-entered point pairs only as a first approximation. Then the ICP algorithm is launched on the entire set of points of both scans. In this mode, a miss is possible only if the radius parameter in the automatic refinement settings is less than the discrepancy for the points specified in the manual mode
